SSGB Nordic Team

The Norwegians are impressed!
The GB Nordic Ski Team are currently in Sjusjoen, Norway, where they've been at a Christmas & New Year training camp.

Last weekend some of the team took part in the Gasburennet races, where they competed against some of the best skiers in Norway (and therefore the world). Andrew Young won the M17 category and Andrew Musgrave was second in the M19-20 age group.

This success has not gone unnoticed by the locals, as the following article from the website of one of Norway's best ski clubs shows -

"Here in Norway we like to think that we are born with skis on our feet and are nearly unbeatable in Nordic skiing. And especially when we compete against skiers from Great Britain, a country more likely connected to sports such as football, horse riding and rugby." Read on...
