extensive European travel
Reporting: Initially to CEO with dotted
line to Junior Team Manager
Holiday: 28 days (to include an 8 day
allowance in lieu of Bank Holidays)

Purpose
To Coach and develop the best British Alpine Junior skiers covering all
FIS junior years.
To create the platform for the improvement of
British Junior skiers through development of team and individual
programmes that advance their capability.
Work with all members of
the British Ski and Snowboarding Coaching staff to create an environment
that fosters winning.
Accountabilities & Deliverables
Create a year round program including planning and budgeting of the
programme within tight financial constraints
Execute program
working together with Junior Team manager and with support of the BSS
administrator
Build productive relationships with Athletes personal
coaches
Agree and document individual Athletes targets for the
season and then monitor achievement of those targets
Produce
nutritional and strength and conditioning advice for Athletes
Produce material for publication and promotion of the Junior team (press
releases, race results, images)
Together with Athletes personal
coaches manage race entries
Maintain equipment

Individual Athlete improvement in FIS points and rankings
Athlete
structure feedback on Coaching performance
Adherence to budget
Essential
Skills, Knowledge and Leadership Behaviours
fluent in written and
spoken English
3 years coaching or working with a National Alpine
ski team
full clean Driving licence
possession of or qualified
to get an enhanced CRB check
likely to have BASI and or APC3
qualifications
Key Relationships
Absolute focus on the
success, progression and well being of the Athletes in the British team
Ability to work with Athletes individual coaches to build custom
programmes that utilise non British team coaches
Good, proactive
working relationship with all BSS Coaching staff and BSS support |
