The ESC Skiers Foundation Trust Fund was set up by the ESC Board in 1998, and has since received donations from ESC totalling over £30,000.
The Trust Fund Deed provides that the funds be used towards any or all of the following objects:
a. to pay cash bursaries to winners of selected awards …. beneficial to the sport of skiing in all its forms
b. to pay bursaries or grants to members of the ESC, persons connected with the ESC or any group of persons that the Trustees consider at their absolute discretion would further the sport of skiing in all its forms.
There will be no age restriction. Bursaries or grants shall include those which in the Trustees’ discretion will:
i. assist in that person’s training and/or education towards the pursuit of personal excellence or improvement
ii. assist in the training of officials in all disciplines of skiing
iii. assist in the training of teachers or coaches in all disciplines of skiing
c. In furtherance of the above objects, the Trustees may sanction bursaries or grants to cover the recipient’s outgoings or proposed outgoings by way of courses, living expenses and travel expenses and expenditure on skiing equipment or clothing.
Now that a rolling programme of grants has been established there will be one annual invitation to apply for grants. This will be called for in August each year with all applicants being advised by the end of October.
Applications are invited on the attached form with a closing date of 31st August 2007.
Applications received after 31st August 2007 (subject to availability of funds) will be held over for consideration by the Trustees in 2008. |
